DEPOSITION TO JUDICIARY BY A CITIZEN

Honourable Supreme Court of India has fired to a citizen, who holds highest authority to govern this country  the following questions on 09.12.2016 :

01.Can you put what you had estimated when you took the decision to scrap Rs 500/- and Rs 1000/- notes?
02. Or did you take decision just like that ?
03. If you had thought notes worth Rs 10.00 lakh Crore would come back to the Banks, did you takes steps  to urgently put in that much of new currency back in circulation ?
04.Can you produce the cabinet note before the decision was taken ?
05. Can you tinker with fiscal policy?
06. If by Wednesday you intend to rework a cash withdrawal limit to make it possible by Banks to honour it and not ask citizens to downsize their demand citing insufficient cash ?
07. If the government headed by him would permit co-operative banks to receive deposits under stringent guidelines to meet the essential need of firm sector ?

I do not know, how the above named citizen will reply to honourable Supreme Court of India, but I on his behalf produce some imaginary replies as under :

01. You Honour, at the very outset I am to deposit that I had an imagination, have a dream for my country , but I did not plan properly.
02. I should have taken into confidence all the CEO and Chairmen of entire banking fraternity along with my colleague who looks after finance portfolio for  planning and preparedness for maintaining sufficient cash flow after demonetisation..
03. I have acted upon confidentially with two top brass of Central Bank of the country and my colleague responsible for finance only and rest of my cabinet were put into darkness. So, I cannot produce any cabinet note to Honourable Court.
04. While trying to fulfil my cherished dream of digitisation corruption free country I could not earmark the followings. that,
      a) There is a saying that there are black sheep in hard of white sheep, You Honour! I could not  imagine that some members of Banking fraternity are are also corrupt and they would rather help corrupted people to turn black into white.
      b) The currency of 11000 to 12000 crores I have taken out of circulation while I failed to replace with new in same proportion and ordinary citizens are struggling in crossfire.
      c) I could not properly earmark that only 56% of population of the country are under banking umbrella and out of which only 10% are doing digital transactions.
      d) I failed to estimate that around 70% of our population stay in rural and are farmers. We have only one wholesale digitised mandi in Karnataka and rest of the transaction throughout the country are done in cash only.
      e) I also could not realise that  abrupt demonetisation may cause serious problem for farmer during this sawing and harvesting season, because all such transactions in rural India are done in cash only.
       f) You Honour! I tried to bring un-banked people into banking arena. I arranged to open 7.5 Crores 'No frill account' for such lower class people, but I never estimated that unscrupulous people will take advantage of this and use these accounts for making black into white.
       g) But, your honour ! I have managed to unearth huge amount of unaccounted cash and gold from different location of the country. I agree totally this is only tip of iceberg and giant portion of the pie is lying outside the country which I failed to unearth till date.
       h) By doing this I have reduced the projected GDP of the country from 7.6% to 7.1% and for doing so I have got  heavy criticism from noted economists and Nobel laureates across the globe; although I have been adjudged a better economist than those Nobel laureates by some of my fellow citizens of country
          i) You Honour! I still believe firmly that this problem is temporary for the economy in short run, but it will hold good for economy in long run.
05. Meanwhile, I am pleased to note that Honourable Supreme Court desired to think after Fiscal Policy from now. If so I will be very much obliged that some of my job will be taken away from my shoulder.
06. Your Honour! Although I could not act upon properly due to  reasons manifolds as I have deposed, but I request the Honourable Court to allow my time at least up to 30th December 2016 as I prayed to the nation also to rectify the defects and still I hold the dream of making the country a cashless nation and bolt the final nail into the coffin of corruption. And that all I have to say Your Honour ! Jay Hind!

DIGITISATION AND DEMONETISATION

" I am not an expert  of demonetisation, I have nothing to say, but the prospect of digitisation in the country will make India  reach in a place is always sought for"

This is precise comment of Mr Bill Gates, the CEO of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation visited India very recently. But, in reality, there is a very big gap lying between the concept of digitisation and its optimum utilisation throughout the country as on date that I will try to analyse in this blog.
The use of digital platform in Government establishments and Financial companies, Banks etc is the basic of    e governance. To attain a totality in digitisation, the first step is to computerise all State and Government departments. There must be a data bank for each records in Government establishments easily available with a mouse click in case of need. The entire process is yet to be completed in many states and one will find staffs are seated behind bulk files of paper records piled on the table in most government departments.Visitors find tough  time to locate their necessary records and many are compelled to bribe some unscrupulous staffs to get their work done.Ministry of surface transport, Aviation etc are already digitised, but ironically again, common people are delayed to get there work done as data banks are not updated intentionally by a group of people in junior level to continue their dirty tricks of getting under the table. However, the HR department of almost all offices are digitised and salaries and other allowances are now directly credited to the account of concerned employee. This has minimised the manual workload substantially in both government offices as well as in banking arena where salaries to departments were paid manually in earlier days. This has plugged the avenue of some HR department employees who were used to ask bribe from their own colleagues for getting passed a home loan or a TA bill etc. Now let us note that what we have achieved till date :

a) Major Government departments are following digital platform.Data banks are created in most segments.
b) Payments are made through e-platform to suppliers and staffs.
c) 60% of population of the country are having a bank account and are issued an ATM come debit card. Rural and under privileged are brought under Government's Jana Dhan Yojana Scheme to open NO FRILLS ACCOUNT. They are simultaneously brought digital world through 'Ru Pay' gateway of digital payment.
d) All major Banks are functioning under Core Banking platform and customers are offered the facility of cashless transactions through RTGS, NEFT and internet Banking.
e) Government Subsidy on different scheme, Gas connection and payment under MGNREGA etc are made cashless  and directly routed through respective accounts of beneficiary and thus plugged the intervention of middlemen who used to take a portion of humble pie of actual beneficiary since many decades.
f) Land banks are digitised.

In the field of public sector  the digitisation has soared up rapidly in metros and tier I cities. The organised sector working in metros and large cities are mostly covered under e -platform. The clientele covered in these cities are mostly of higher middle class and high income groups. Working class or businessmen both are literate and well aware of digital world. Most of the citizen in metros and tier I cities prefer to do cashless transactions, viz. they buy their groceries and essentials through debit/credit cards. They buy their clothes and other necessities from large malls and go for cashless transaction. They use the transportation facility of private high end operator like OLA, UBER etc who operates through cashless payment wallets. For other daily needs they use app based cashless wallets and take the service of bigbusket.com or amazon.in for fruits and vegetables, flip cart or snap deal for any other necessities. Other then these, there are many payment wallets like patm, jabong, food panda, book my show  etc are available options for them to service their every day needs fulfilled. . Banks are not far behind and largest Bank of the country SBI has come out with its own app based service like SBI Buddy, SBI Anywhere SBI m visa and so on.In a nutshell, citizens of metros and tier I cities are more or less digitised.Cashless life is a reality there. But,

The other part of the country on the contrary there is totally a different reality :

a) 40% of population is still un-banked and they never saw any thing other than currency notes.
b) Tier II and Tier III cities and smaller towns although large chunk of literate persons are staying there, but they find it comfortable to transact in cash.Retail business are preferable transact in cash and do not rely on POS terminals. Some of  large business establishments and small malls are accepting cashless transactions through debit/credit cards.
c) Small towns and rural areas the infrastructure is alarmingly worse.Although a percentage of rural population are having their individual debit cards but in most cases they have to travel at least minimum 5/6 km to get the ATM kiosk or a Bank branch to withdraw their hard earned money.
d) Farmers are paid in cash by middlemen who buy their produce in the absence of any e-platform as a matter of practice since decades.
e) majority of people are still comfortable in handling their transaction needs in cash only.
f) Whole seller are refusing to accept payment other than cash  from retail counterparts.
g) transportation other than aviation are generally done in cash payment only.

In this mixed effort of digitisation of economy by the Government the hammering of demonetisation has been an unexpected blow to the common men.  Aftermath of the declaration of demonetisation of high denomination currency  by the government the effect  on people other than large cities and metros are huge.
a ) Prices of perishables are down dramatically. Farmers are stuck with produce in hand and no money to invest for the new harvesting season.Although Government came out with some punitive measures for farmers recently for buying of seeds.
b)  Consumption is at an all time low. This will effect revenue collection for the governments and states.
c) In tier II and III cities the neighbourhood stores are losing out massively to the big baskets and the big bazaars. This deep freeze in trading will hurt small businesses the most.
d) People in rural and small town are perennially standing in serpentine queue to get their own hard earned valid money.
e) In high tech cities like Pune and Bangalore people are least effected by this declaration. They are as usual using their e-wallets for their A to Z need. Even Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation ( BMTC) has declared introducing prepaid  smart card for commuter from January 2017 to boost cashless payment. but,

Actually grey area of monetary system (the so called black money) has not seen much light till date. Barring a few small raid and minimum disclosure have not contributed much towards the main purpose of demonetisation. Instead, this cash sucked out of the system has taken the economy into a deep freeze. Government has approximately demonetised 14 lac crores and haven't injected even 1 lac crores back in the system. Our capacity to inject is also in doubt. While Government has scrapped 1,658 Cr notes of Rs 500 and 668 Cr notes of Rs 1000 our Printing capacity is just 100 Cr notes per month of Rs 500 and 133 Cr notes per month of Rs 2000. If RBI transfers the unaccounted notes as reserves to government, the trust in our currency will be hit.
This is looking grim.GDP of the country is effected. From an inflation led economy, we may be fighting to stop stagflation and wade of deflation. I just hope this  will end soon."

A HERO OF TIME

Narendra Modi was born on 17 September 1950 to a family of grocers in VadnagarMehsana districtBombay State(present-day Gujarat). He was the third of six children born to Damodardas Mulchand Modi and Hiraben Modi. Modi's family belonged to the Modh-Ghanchi-Teli (oil-presser) community, which is categorised as an Other Backward Class by the Indian government.
As a child, Modi helped his father sell tea at the Vadnagar railway station, and later ran a tea stall with his brother near a bus terminus. Modi completed his higher secondary education in Vadnagar in 1967, where a teacher described him as an average student and a keen debater, with an interest in theatre. Modi had an early gift for rhetoric in debates, and this was noted by his teachers and students. Modi preferred playing larger-than-life characters in theatrical productions, which has influenced his political image.
At age eight, Modi discovered the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and began attending its local shakhas (training sessions). There, Modi met Lakshmanrao Inamdar, popularly known as Vakil Saheb, who inducted him as a balswayamsevak(junior cadet) for RSS and became his political mentor. While Modi was training with the RSS, he also met Vasant Gajendragadkar and Nathalal Jaghda, Bharatiya Jana Sangh leaders who were founding members of the BJP's Gujarat unit in 1980.
Engaged while still a child to a local girl, Jashodaben Narendrabhai Modi, Modi rejected the arranged marriage at the same time he graduated from high school. The resulting familial tensions contributed to his decision to leave home in 1967.
Modi was sworn in as Prime Minister of India on 26 May 2014 at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. He became the first Prime Minister born after India's independence from the United Kingdom He was the first to invite all South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation leaders to attend his swearing-in ceremony. His first cabinet consisted of 45 ministers, 25 fewer than the previous UPA government. His first cabinet decision was to set up an SIT to address the issue of illegal money. He started a monthly radio program titled "Mann ki Baat" on 3 October 2014. He repealed 1,159 obsolete laws in first two years as compared to 1,301 such laws repealed by his preceding governments over a span of 64 years. As of May 2016, more than 1.04 crore people have been trained under Skill India Mission launched by him in 2015.
vegetarian, Modi has a frugal lifestyle and is a workaholic and introvert. Adept at using social media, he has been since September 2014 the second-most-followed leader in the world (with over 17.9 million followers on Twitter as of February 2016), behind only Barack Obama. Modi's 31 August 2012 post on Google Hangouts made him the first Indian politician to interact with netizens on live chat.
Modi has also been called a fashion-icon with his signature, crisply ironed, half-sleeved tunic-shirt (dubbed the "Modi kurta"), brand-name accessories, and a suit with his name embroidered repeatedly in the pinstripes that he wore during a state visit by US President Barack Obama, drawing particular public and media attention, and sometimes criticism.
Although he is considered a controversial, polarising and divisive figure, British economist Jim O'Neill blogged that Modi is "good on economics" – one of the things "India desperately needs in a leader" In August 2013, financial analyst Chris Wood of CLSA wrote in his weekly "Greed & fear" report: "The Indian stock market's greatest hope is the emergence of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the BJP's prime ministerial candidate"
As prime minister, Modi has received consistently high approval ratings; at the end of his first year in office, he received an overall approval rating of 87% in a Pew Research poll, with 68% of people rating him "very favourably" and 93% approving of his government His approval rating remained largely consistent at around 74% through his second year in office, according to a nationwide poll conducted by insta Vaani. At the end of his second year in office, an updated Pew Research poll showed Modi continued to receive high overall approval ratings of 81%, with 57% of those polled rating him "very favourably."
He is instrumental for  demonetising high value existing currency notes to bring back transperency in economic system of the republic.

AN ALMOST FORGOTTEN GIANT

A man who could write a speak better English probably then an Englishman (is acknowledged by many in contemporary world also) started his early education at his home. His father had him educated at home by private governesses and tutors. Under the influence of a tutor, Ferdinand T. Brooks, he became interested in science and theosophy. He was subsequently initiated into the Theosophical Society at age thirteen by family friend Annie Besant. However, his interest in theosophy did not prove to be enduring and he left the society shortly after Brooks departed as his tutor. He wrote: "for nearly three years [Brooks] was with me and in many ways he influenced me greatly"

His theosophical interests had induced him to the study of the Buddhist and Hindu Scriptures.According to B.R. Nanda , these scriptures were his "first introduction to the religious and cultural heritage of India....they provided him the initial impulse for his long intellectual quest which culminated...in his famous book. Later when he had begun his institutional schooling in 1905 at Harrow, a leading school in England, he was greatly influenced by G M . Trevalyan's  Garibaldi books, which he had received as prizes for academic merit. He viewed Garibaldi as a revolutionary hero.
After completing his schooling from Harrows, England,he went to e,Trinity College, Cambridge in October 1907 and graduated with an honours degree in natural science in 1910.During this period, he also studied politics, economics, history and literature desultorily. Writings of Bernard ShawH.G.WellsJ.M.KeynesBertrand RussellLowes Dickinson and Meredith Townsend moulded much of his political and economic thinking.

After completing his degree in 1910, he went to London and stayed there for two years for law studies at the Inns of Court School of Law (Inner Temple). During this time, he continued to study the scholars of the Fabian Society including Beatrice Webb. He passed his bar examinations in 1912 and was admitted to the English bar.

All along his life he loved children very much.He was a prolific writer in English and wrote a number of books, such as Discovery of India ,Glimpse of World History, and his autobiography, Towards Freedom. He had written 30 letters to his daughter Indira Gandhi, when she was 10 years old and was in a boarding school in Mussoorie teaching about natural history and the story of civilisations. The collection of these letters was later published as a book Letter from a father to his daughter.

The man was born in 1889 of Motilal Nehru a nationalist leader and Swarooprani of his two other siblings elder sister Vijaylakhsmi FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT OF UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY and younger sister Krishna Hutheesing was an eminent author of many books.

His name and work is gradually fading away from the citizen of country due to vehement force of artificial 'Hinduttva' imposed by a group of people and new generation will never know of a man who had a larger than life image minus his political mistakes.

Kashmir : The Garden of Eden; Paradise on Earth.

As per The holy Bible, the creation of mankind was done in the east. The place might have refereed as PARADISE ON EARTH.
" And Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed ( Genesis 2.8)
One of the earliest civilisation found in India in its Punjab region ( both Punjab east and west) viz. the Indus Valley Civilisation dated back to 3000-5000 B.C.But in Kashmir area archaeological traces are found date back 50000 years.
The name Kashmir might have derived from Sanskrit Kashmira; Kashmiri, Kashir and there may be three more different ways :
01 Cush( Kosh) the grandson of Noah,( believed to be tenth descendent of  Adam) whose descendants populated the earth had settled on this fertile land on earth. Thus Cush of Bible might have changed into 'Kash' and the word 'Mir' means in Russian as place occupied by a community is the reason of becoming the name of Kashmir.
02.Another interpretation on Hebrew word 'Kasher' ( in English 'Kosher) related with food. And Israelis are known for their separate dietary regulation had  gave this name who came to settle in this part of earth.
03. The Sanskrit meaning of Kashmir might have come from 'Kashyap' the recluse, and  'Mir' came from 'Mar'. The Vedic text says the name of creator also Kashyap,so, the Kash-mar or Kashmir practically means the 'Land of God".

According to many historians and archaeologist, this part of land was originally inhabited by Israelis (Hebrews) from beginning.According to A Barnes, the father of Ermiah was the father of Afghans, who was contemporary of Nebuchadnezzar and the Afghan legend of Nebuchadnezzar confirms Israelite were transplanted from the holy land of Ghore in north western Kabul Province. They remained Jews in faith till 682 AD, when the invader Arabs converted them to Islam. There are many signage and inscriptions in Hebrew found in Kashmir of India.Quite close to Taxila, now in Sirkhap, Pakistan a stone was found having inscription in Aramaic, the language Lord Jesus Christ spoke. There are many more inscriptions are found in POK ( Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) confirms the presence of Israelis in Kashmir long before Hindu and Islamic era.

For immediate interest of my readers I inscribe below some common words spoken  and name of places in Kashmir which have similarity with those words refereed in holy Bible :

Name in Kashmir                           Name in Bible                  Biblical Reference
Amal                                                   Amal                            1. Chronicle 7:35
Bal                                                      Baal                             1. Chronicles 5:5
Gabba                                                 Gaba                             Joshua 18:24
Gani                                                    Guni                             1 Chronicles 7:13
Gomer                                                Gomer                             Genesis 10:2

Places in Kashmir                            Biblical Name                 Biblical Reference
Balpura ( Awantipur)                         Baal peor                        Numbers 25:3
Behatpur (Handwara)                        Beth Peor                        Deuteronomy 34:6
Harwan (Srinagar)                             Haran                              2 Kings 19:12
Amariah (Srinagar)                            Amariah                          1 Chronicles 23:19

Inhabitants of Kashmir are not like other communities or races of India in every respect. There life, behaviour, customs , habits , food are very much similar of Israelis.
a) Kashmiri people do not use fat for cooking and baking like Israelis; they use only oil.
b) Kashmiri people like boiled fish called 'fari' like Israelis. They probably remember their forefathers used to have plenty of fish long back before their exodus from Egypt. It is mentioned in (Numbers 11:5) " We remember the fish which we dis eat in Egypt freely"
c) Butcher knives are made in Kashmir in half moon shape like Israelis.
d) Rudders of Boat or Shikara are made heart shaped same as Israelis do.
e) After bearing a child Kashmiri mother are quarantined for forty days for purification which is same way followed in Israel.
f) Apparels for Kashmiri women are similar to Israelis. Both wear headscarves and laces.
g) Young Kashmiri and Jewish girls dance alike in two facing columns with linked arm moving forward and backward with rhythm. Both calls their song as 'rof'
h) Old Kashmiri graves are found in east -west orientation although in Islam graves are dug in north south orientation. Old graves are found with Hebrew inscriptions.

All that above proves that the Kashmir was the place where Hebrews were inhibited densely many many years ago. The place was considered from days of immortal that Paradise on Earth. It is the Garden of Eden as described in holy Bible. The next verse will tell the geographical location of garden of Eden.
" And the river went out of Eden to water the garden ; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads" ( Genesis 2:10)
And everyone knows the river Indus started from Kashmir with its tributaries Sutlej, Jheelam, Chenab. ( Source : Courtesy : Holger Kersten author of Jesus lived in India))

Bob Dylan and an Indian Panorama

FLASH ! FLASH! FLASH!

Bob Dylan is selected for Noble Prize in the field of literature for 2016

The news broke in world press and after an hour a conversation between two PhD level students in Delhi University as under:

" Han yaar, I have heard the news also but I did not read any book by Bob Dylan. You? "

" I read of Munshi Prem Chand, but not this Bob......kya Dhillon. Punjabi kya?"

"No yaar, suna hai koi phoren ka."

" I have book of Dane Browne you know. Da Vinci Code, Angels and demons, aur Kya
. ...han kuch point...I forgot the name ".

" are yaar do you know Leander Paes is Indian? My sis confirmed me other day. I Knew the guy is phoren ka.

This is the situation in one of our premiere University and who is responsible for this quality of students? As per my assumption that there is no proper standard of admission process; since the admission cost is cheap any quality form any strata are getting chance to be admitted there. Moreover, too much dependency on Hindi and total hate on Anglican culture in so called 'cow belt' in north India has created this big vacuum in basic education level. It should be necessarily understood by all so called fundamentalists that egoism on only Hindi language will not serve all purpose in modern era. In this digital world students and younger generations must be equipped with all guns of their knowledge to secure position in this competitive atmosphere.A university like Delhi University or JNU should not be the beehive of any particular ideology and students should come under the ugly umbrella of any such egoism.Mass people of this country are moving with whims and emotions and they do not act properly with their conscience. Some media house (both electronic and print media) are adding fuel to emotions of fellow countrymen and women from this or that ideology and ultimately the wisdom and knowledge suffering the most. Thus, a class of people will hate English although it is the 2nd Language of the country, rather they are taught by their fundamentalist parents and relatives that " hate English , this is phoren language, and stick to our basic Hindi and other major Indian language , as the case may be." and thus students of vast mainland  have not heard of Ludwig van Beethoven or Mantovani. They even fail to taste the great western classics. Most them never heard the names of Federico Fellini, Nicolas Klotz or Akira Kurosawa. So, there is a big knowledge gap in youths coming up from middle class and lower middle class society. There is not much problem with upper middle class and upper class society but they generally go to IIM  or some universities abroad, because this a costly affair. These youths receives their education in top class private institutions of the country from primary level itself and those youths do not miss much although there is exceptions everywhere. I remember few years before on the eve of Independence Day a group of Delhi youths were asked by media people that who wrote 'Vandematarm'. The unexpected replies came with hesitation " I am not sure, may be A R Raheman."
This is the situation of present  educated India that disturbs me the most.Television was a source of imparting knowledge once upon a time may be around 25/30 years ago, but the quality of TV productions has also reached in its nadir, to be precise. So, in this present scenario, I am afraid that tomorrow our own Derek o'brain or Stuart Binny will be mistaken as foreigner by a class of people whom we call our future.God save the.....

Ballad of a Noble Laureate

In the summer of 1941 when the entire world was passing over the dark days and longer nights of great second world war, in a cool and small place named Duluth in Minnesota, USA a child was born. Precisely it was 24th May of the year and proud parents named him as Robert Allen Zimmerman. A person who would be multipurpose genius with absolute versatility was probably destined at very early age when he quickly learned to play three instruments with equal ease i.e. Guitar, Harmonica and Piano.A connoisseur of Folk movements during sixties of last century leaped forward with his giant step towards his unparalleled journey equipped with magnificent voice modulation along with masterly manifestation of those musical instruments he played throughout next five to six decades and mesmerised the entire earth. Those old timers like us will go down memory lane today where they will find popular numbers of yesteryear from voice of today's great humming into their ear "Blowin' in the wind " or " The Times They Are a changin' "

Meanwhile, he rechristened himself as BOB DYLAN from  Robert Allen Zimmerman, probably inspired from Dylan Thommese that he later on denied vehemently . These two numbers of sixties of last century quickly  became anthems for the American Civil Rights and Anti war movements. Leaving behind his initial base in the American folk music revival, his six minutes number recorded in 1965 " Like a rolling Stone" enthralled entire American population and enlarged the range of popular music during those days.  Although, Dylan's folk numbers recorded in mid 1960s with rock musicians topped the chart of United States Music chart but at the same time hard criticism he had to consume from orthodox group for using the electrical instruments in the field of folk music.
Through out his journey he incorporated lyrics influenced from a wide large of political, social, philosophical and  of literary world. They defied existing pop culture and appealed to the burgeoning counter culture..He was in his initial days inspired by the performances of Little Richard and  the songwriting of Woody Guthrie, Robert Johnson, and Hank Williams. Dylan has amplified and personalised musical genres . His recording career, spanning more than 50 years, has explored the traditions in American song—from folk, , blues, and country to gospel, rock and roll. From rock to English, Scottish and also Irish Folk music. He has experimented even jazz and others from Great American song book. Although, his accomplishments as a recording artist and performer have been central to his career, but songwriting is considered his greatest contribution.

Since 1994, Dylan has published six books of drawings and paintings, and his work has been exhibited in major art galleries. As a musician, Dylan has sold more than 100 million records, making him one of the best selling artist of all time. He has also received numerous awards including ELEVEN GRAMMY AWARDS, a Golden Globe award, and an ACADEMY AWARD The Pulitzer Prize jury in 2008 awarded him a special citation for "his profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power." In May 2012, Dylan received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President of USA Mr Barak Obama.IN 2016 HE HAS RECEIVED THE NOBLE PRIZE FIRST TIME BY A COMPOSER OF MUSIC AND LYRICIST IN FIELD OF LITERATURE.
Where 18 members of juries in Noble committee rightly expressed comparing him with Homer of ancient Greece and said that Iliad is a ballad sang by Homer 2500 ago and so the poetry and its verses of BOB DYLAN as he sang will be continued to be listened by people long after.

BOB , YOU ARE AN  INSPIRATION !!!!!!

MINTU :THE CHISEL THAT SPEAKS

Many say that the name of city of Dhaka has been derived from famous goddess 'Dhakeswari' the temple at Chowkbazar area of present Dhaka. The vibrant city amid its busy life and intolerable traffic snarls, speaks with  its multiple colour, lures with its mouth watering dishes in plush restaurants and luxurious club culture. Aristocrat Gulshan enclave proudly heralds its money power and luxury along with its beauty and serenity. The city can boast of the beautiful piece of architecture of Baytul Mukarrom, one of finest mosque of south Asia.
At the same time this great city silently opened a window to show respect to a person, named Mintu Dey,without his contribution, the history this great city might not be complete. Mintu Dey a nonchalant sculptor was biologically born of late Shantilal Dey at Khulna, Bangladesh on 16th July 1978 who now resides at this historical city. Much before his birth, this beautiful city Dhaka bore the scar of most heinous and pre-planed genocide, where the famous university became a killing field. Whole world witnessed how on the infamous night of 25th March ,1971 dark night sky of Dhaka became darker with shame and dark thick smoke littered from heavy armoured cannon with sophisticated guns rolled inside the historical Dhaka University. Zahirul Islam Hall and Jagganath Hall of this famous university that proudly remembers the 'tlots'  of shoes and tall strides on its corridor from taller and larger than life personalities like 'Boson' famous Satyen Bose or Dr. Suniti Kumar Chatterjee, was littered with thick human blood.Heaps of uncounted dead bodies of students laid unattended throughout this murky night.World knows how government machinaries were savagely used to tame its own citizens who only peacefully protested against the than Pakistan Government. Outside the University hundreds of poor were shot dead by army and those dead bodies were clicked by world press next morning. But thousands of bodies of those students inside the university were vanished in  next morning by courtesy of Pakistan army who shoveled a long trench inside the campus and arranged for mass grave.
Infamous Mirpur brutalities of 1971 is probably known to all, where hundreds of migrated Bihari Muslims from India used to live. They were fortified from all sides and savagely killed. Interestingly, dead bodies of many were not found during the turbulent time. But a couple of years after independence in 1973, during sovereign Bangladesh government, few skulls and bones of human structure were unearthed when some digging was done for extension of a mosque in that area.It was believed that might be original mosque was erected over the mass grave during  turbulent 1971 and thus the extension work was stopped by local authorities immediately to avoid any repercussion.
Mintu has not seen that night obviously, but he could never forgo the history. At the very tender age when people takes pen between the fingers he choose the chisel. He choose the hammer. He has not seen definitely those dark days of 1971 but his chisel spoke the history and whispered into his ears. The hammer he held in his hand has sang the song of independence, song of  protest against inhuman brutality of dark days in his motherland. In present scenario of Bangladesh, who is more patriot then him?

He and his team are in continuous process of chiseling out the sculpture of those brutal episode of ugly 1971.They comprise of total 23 persons working tirelessly day and night to visualize the period.
He has selected to exhibit total 1071 sculptures and started the job roughly in September 2014 . They have selected to visualize 100 numbers of such heinous incident committed by Pakistan army in 64 numbers of villages. He will need 200 acres of land to keep his finished items and here the Bangladesh Silpakala Academy has come up to extend their help. It is decided that old airport will be place for his exhibition which he honestly wants to finish within December 2016 and dreams to do his presentation exactly on 25th March 2017.

Seeing his dedication towards the good cause and of course his undoubted patriotism, the Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University has kindly consented him to do his work at the large unused back space of his palatial residence, where Mintu has stored his semi finished items carefully.
He has started his job silently long back.Surprisingly he has not asked a single rupee for his project of such magnitude. Rather he and his team is continuously arranged their fund so far  from sale proceeds of their art craft.
Mintu Dey is a natural wizard of art craft. With his untiring effort and dedication he could create a miniature 'Gitanjalee' of one inch size where he could store all songs of Tagore available in original Gitanjalee. He has created another master piece of half inch album contains clear pictures of all celebrity persons of previous centuries starting from Raja Ramohan Roy to Tagore and Ashotosh Mukherjee etc.His dedication towards his work has paid off and his name has been nominated for Guinness Book of World records.

He is definitely a hero of contemporary time and everyone who reads this blog is earnestly requested by me on behalf of Mintu Dey that kindly spread this to as many persons as you can  so that his work reaches to proper fora and gets due  recognition. Mintu Dey is a real hero of our time!

OH ! HOLY MOTHER SAINT TERESA

Days before her sainthood Kolkata celebrated Holy Mother's birthday on 26th of August 2016. This time it is Mother Teresa's 106th birth anniversary and why this is so special indeed, because it came on the eve of her sainthood that will happen in Vatican, Rome on coming September 4th 2016 in the august presence of His Holiness Pope Francis and many other Cardinals. The Indian delegation will attend the grand ceremony headed by Ms Sushma Swaraj, Minister of external affairs. Delhi CM Mr Arvind Kejirwal will also attend the ceremony.
Canonization is the act by which the orthodox, oriental orthodoxy, Roman Catholic or Anglican  Church declares that a person who has died was  a saint , upon which declaration the person is included in the canon, or list, of recognized saints. Originally, people were recognized as saints without any formal process. Later, different processes, such as those used today in the Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches , were developed
In the Catholic Church  (both  Latin and Eastern Churches ), the act of canonization is reserved to the Holy See and occurs at the conclusion of a long process requiring extensive proof that the person proposed for canonization lived and died in such an exemplary and holy way that he or she is worthy to be recognized as a saint. The Church's official recognition of sanctity implies that the persons are now in heavenly glory, that they may be publicly invoked and mentioned officially in the liturgy of the Church, most especially in the Litany of saints. Other churches still follow the older practice .
In the Catholic Church, canonization involves a decree that allows veneration of the saint in the liturgy of the Roman Rite throughout the world. For permission to venerate on a local level, only beatification is needed, not canonization.
When Pope Francis stages this big canonization ceremony on September 4, the star of the show will be Mother Teresa , the legendary 'Apostle of poor' who stood as most iconic figure of Catholics during 20th century. An important member of supporting cast on that day will be Marcilo Hadddad Andrino, a Brazilian, the person who experienced the miracle attributed to the saint's intercession and his case a miraculous recovery from brain abscesses during December 2008.
When Pope Francis stages this big canonization ceremony on Sept. 4, the star of the show will be Mother Teresa, the legendary “Apostle of the Poor” who stands as one of the most iconic Catholic figures of the 20th century.An important member of the supporting cast that day, however, will be Marcilio Haddad Andrino, a Brazilian who’s what the Italians call the miracolato - the person who experienced a miracle attributed to the saint’s intercession, in this case a miraculous recovery from brain abscesses in December 2008, In Italian what is called 'miracolato'. The recovery occurred after his wife Fernanda Nasimento Rocha prayed to Mother Teresa for help as she watched her husband clinging to life.
Let, all citizens of our country pray to holy mother on the auspicious day of her canonization and subsequent attainment of sainthood  to save this country from the clutches of all odds that we are facing day to day .

SAVE KASHMIR SAVE OUR PEOPLE

I am the dark shadow of night ! I am the hell! I roam over dark clouds and disappear into darkness. I am the dark shade of country! I am the hell!
I am told to be the necklace of valley. But I don't glitter now. Everyone is sleeping now under thick blanket of frost and snow. Street lights are looking pale and tired after emitting fluorescence during long nights. The temperature is very close to 13° Celsius. There is darkness everywhere.
A white Toyota with bold mark of the word 'PRESS' slowly moved through the asphalt road and took a turn near the mosque and suddenly a group of Khaki clad people came in front of headlight of the car. A thundering order pierced the night 'HALT'  followed by Moth****od and with savage might  the handheld weapon smashed the front glass of the car before the person sat inside could loud the word 'PRESS'. The poor reporter of Deccan Herald was injured by patrolling CRPF group.
The picture is almost everywhere the same. Medicine/Pharmacy and Press are exempted of all rules as per international law, but no law prevails in the valley now. This is hell!
Poor Safique having a  Shikara on water of Dal Lake and through this he earns at least Rs.3000/- during this peak season is sitting idle in his house since last 45 days. His 7 years old youngest son could not go to school since last one and half month; it is not easy to control children of this age inside the house  24 x 7. His other two sons of  whom  one at higher secondary level and eldest one goes to college are also stuck inside the house. It is difficult to control young lads with full of emotions inside the house. Safique has bought carom board for both sons, but how many games can pass the time for long one and half month. The hotel owner Makbul at Srinagar has deep twitch on his forehead. All the bookings by domestic and foreign tourist are cancelled and he is finding it not very easy to maintain the hotel since enough of his savings he has already spent without generating any income.
On other side in many districts state police has abandoned their stations due to fear of attacks from antisocial and terrorists and many of their barracks are captured by those CRPFs and Armed forces. Long curfew and pelting of stones by opportunists has made the life hell everywhere. Shelling of gun across the border as well as intruders from other side has compelled army to divide and tackle both corners and thus the situation became more difficult. This is first time on yesterday BSF has been deployed by government inside the city to cover up the shortfall of forces. Many state police personals have abandoned duty and taken safe shelter in places of their choice.Over and above, no connection of internet in the valley since July first week, no prepaid mobile service and service of all other network providers other than BSNL post paid, have been scrapped.

GOD HAS GIVEN  US BREAD TO EAT, BUT HOW CAN LAKHS OF PEOPLE LIVE WITHOUT BREAD? No shop of provisions and necessities has pulled up its shutter since last 45 days. Horrible!

I don't understand those government policies, I as a common man do not understand Hurriot, I do not know PDP or BJP or National conference. I do not have any concern of Pakistan, but I am concerned about our own innocent Indian people who became victim by default. I am concerned about future of lakhs of school going children who are deprived to continue their classes, who will be responsible for their future if they loose a complete calendar year of studies? What will be the economy of Kashmir as it is losing millions of USD as well as INR per day? What will be the condition of petty business houses? What hell those people like Safique will row at this  sea of timeless darkness? It is really hell of  situation. There is darkness every where.
I feel I am in hell ! I roam over dark clouds and disappear into darkness. I am the dark shade of country! I am the hell!
