When you will learn to think

Fellow countrymen and women( Both secular and fundamentalists)

Let us leave all secular and non secular discussion for couple of    minutes and concentrate on following agenda :

a) How much we can do for eradicating the child labour in real sense. You are aware that, knowingly  you or might be your next door is utilizing the service of underage girl child in term of domestic help. Think again. Charity begins at home.

b) How much we can do towards cleaning of my locality. You please check the lamppost outside your residence covered with white lime form your fingertip only.Check ugly boundary wall of your house littered by you only.  Can you not clean this first ? Forget about Swachh Bharat. Charity begins at home only. Did you ever think that why you will pay extra cess on Swachh Bharat project if you cannot clean your own house?

c) As per law vendors of Liqueur/ tobacco products are strictly prohibited to sale to person below 18 years of age. But do you really think while you send your school going son to shop a packet of cigarette for you? Charity begins at home.

d) Do you always put off you ignition key at signals where red light are on for at least two minutes? Instead you talk or post on the face book the rate of petrol per liter and start comparing and abusing previous governments. Can we not save some fuel by changing our attitude? Again I will say charity starts at home only.

d) How many girl child we can protect from the clutches of sexual offenders in school, Small town, tier II &III cities and metros? What is the security to women employee we could provide in work place in work place? The girl child from my next door is being sexually harassed by either male teacher or security personals, do we really get all information and protest against such heinous crime?

e) Instead we talk big about secular, fundamentals, food menu card, election of politicians,We talk big about communal harmony but we do not think about the tannery industry and economic condition of Dalits and downtrodden whose profession has been shadowed by banning cow slaughter.

f) We talk in terms of global conjuncture but we fail to up lift the person of below poverty line staying in my next door.

Alas ! We lost our scientific name ( Vertebrata)

MEDITERRANEAN SEA : GRAVE YARD OF MANKIND

Global temperature in middle east and east Africa became so hot in recent time that cold sea  water was required to extinguish the heat. Yes, the scenario is so horrific throughout and bone chilling that one post has been required by the media world to bang the door of the civic world. Wake up call has been so necessary that everyone in different countries of civilized world had to shiver inside their comfortable rag at the wee hours of the day.
Such a scenario did not come in one single day. Cruelties of terrorists in the name a religion ( although they do not have any faith or religion) is constantly massacring innocent and ordinary citizens in countries like Syria and Iraq. Thousands and thousands of people have been brutally murdered. And all the women of the conquered areas have been taken away forcefully and made them sex slaves. This gives horrific remembrance of the medieval period. Thousands of innocent youths of different parts of this globe are being brainwashed to join in certain group of terrorists in the name of Islam.
Other day few Indian citizens have been caught in Saudi Arabian airport and deported back to India who tried to cross the border to join in the terrorist group of ISIS. There are other instances also.About a few months back a  family of eight from Hyderabad went for holiday in middle east and intended to join in ISIS. They were again deported back to India. So, my question is that who are the representatives are working on terrorist's behalf in India and other east African countries like Libya, Algeria etc countries and instigating innocent citizen to join in the 'Jihad' and thus increasing their sphere and control all over the area slowly.
Reports of beheading people from Christian faith with video recording has been common and shown in international media. But the scenario remains unchanged till date. Five persons have been blind folded and tied with crucifix and charred to death gave me remembrance Quo Vedis the immortal film I saw in my childhood and recent times the infamous Khmer Rouge at Cambodia.
Citizen who are elderly members of both divorced countries by destiny - India and Pakistan, might well remember the horrific days of partition during August 1947. Madding crowd from both side of the border tired to cross by hanging on the foot board of the running train in hundreds. Some even climbed on the rooftop of the train for safe passage to a new world, new destination and to start a new life. How many of them fell down from train or fell down  from the steamer on the mighty Padma or Bias in both side of border, none could earmark.
Now the scenario is same in other part of the globe.Refugee are same all over. They try for a new life, new address with a new hope. But how many can achieve this? How many die in boat capsize or from the running train while fighting with their destiny?
UN and its eldest son remained silent spectator of this planned pogrom and neither a single protest from members of NATO and nor from emerging superpowers of BRICS countries. The bone shivering photo of the dead child is not the answer but it raised thousand question to mankind. If these questions are unanswered immediately the quest of refugees for new life will continue and till that time Mediterranean sea will turn into a graveyard of mankind in days to come.

PAYMENT BANK : A BIG LEAP FOR INDIAN BANKING SCENARIO

It is a new dawn to India and its financial market. It's a dream come true for many small and big  players in this arena whose long wait is at last over. Reserve Bank of India at last accorded license  to eleven strong contenders in the country who applied for license for entering in Banking sector. This license given to them is at bit different. This license is given for the first time to function as 'PAYMENT BANK'. The term needs some details clarification towards it's functioning for the common man who many not be aware of the technical term. The major difference between a normal Bank which is termed as 'Universal Bank' and a payment bank is as under:

a) the payment bank may open account without any minimum balance and in the viral world. It will be totally hassle free something like getting a prepaid SIM card.
b) Payment Bank can receive deposits from account holders up to Rs 100000/-
c) They cannot sanction any loans
d) They are permitted to issue debit card but debarred to issue credit cards.
c) They can function as 'Business Correspondent' of Universal Bank and cover rural area of the country as well as agent for mutual fund and insurance sector of parent Universal Bank.
d) The deposits received from public must be invested in Government Bonds.
e) They are to maintain Cash Reserve Ratio with RBI.

Now, among these eleven players, who have been given license RIL(Reliance Industries Ltd) has already made an agreement with market leader SBI and Kotak Mahindra Bank and has reached with an agreement with Airtel. With the strong workforce of these two Payment Banks SBI and KotakMahindra will definitely spearhead for Financial Inclusions under the central scheme of ' Pradhan Mantri Janadhan Yojana'. The chairman of SBI Ms Arundhuti Bhattacharjee has rightly commented on her action plan.
Quote

Our partnership with RIL brings together the strengths of two of India's Fortune 500 cos committed to making an impact on financial inclusion landscape. We see this license is an opportunity to promote financial inclusion by providing banking and transaction service to unbanked, underbanked  and small business.

Unquote

Among other player biggest is India Post who with its 1.55 lakhs strong branches have the highest presence in rural areas. But they may take more time to come out with full fledged technical back than their rival private players like Vodafone, Airtel , Paytm etc.
Vodafone with its strong thirty thousand plus team members may be waiting to go with any of big Universal Bank like ICICI  Bank or HDFC Bank etc.
So, under this present scenario, probably those small PSU Banks will lose in this rat race because they will initially  not be in a position to coup up with other big players.

On the eve of our 69 Th INDEPENDENCE DAY I would like share (from alpha to omega ) mixed bag  of memories to my fellow friends of Independent India  during the year we have passed into eternity:

f) I have seen adult  boys and girls are paraded and compelled to do sit down and stand up process continuously in front moral police without any fault of them at Uttar Pradesh.
g) I have seen married couple are raided and harassed in the hotel by long hand of moral police  of Mumbai
h) I have seen medical admission scam in Madhya Pradesh where chief minister did not care to take action or submit his resignation.
i) I have seen chief minister of the state of Rajasthan happily taken advantage and monetary benefit from a person against whom international Red Corner Notice for arrest has been issued.
j) I have seen clam and unmoved face of government machinery while   hundreds of my fellow farmers in this independent India committing suicide.
k) I have seen logjam in Parliament for almost entire session and Government of India had to go for a loss of Rs 425.00 Crores approximately due of unruly behaviour of our elected representatives.
l) I have seen lights of happiness in the eyes of those people who were living in disputed land for long 68 years are being identified as citizens of two countries.
o) I have seen people like Kailash Satyarthi, Sania Mirza  who brought prizes bouquets for the country.
Let us celebrate

MORAL POLICE AND BAN

Government of India has again proved to be poking its nose in private area of citizens. No, I am sorry, this time its netizens. After getting an order from the Honorable Supreme Court to stop all internet channels contains child pornography, over enthusiastic bureaucrats under the Ministry has ordered telecom department to put a blanket ban on 857 adult channels in internet. Thus, they are prohibiting an adult to view the same. So far my poor knowledge goes, viewing of pornography in a private place does not qualify as illegal in India. Any adult person can watch such channels within his/her four walls with disturbing others. Now, one  bureaucrats favoring the ban has opined that, "every thing you do inside the four wall is not legal. You bring a prostitute in your house or you lay with a boy in the bed within four walls are not legal"
My question is why specifically the word 'boy' ? So, if a adult lady sleeps within four wall with a grown up boy is illegal? Or he meant that porno are watched by man only. Recent survey by TOI revealed that women watch pornography more than men in this country.Secondly banning such channels if anyone can give any guarantee that child sex, abusing or molesting of underage person will totally stopped in the country, then this a welcome move. Moreover, the monsters, who sexually abuse children are regularly doing the same on the nose of the Government. This, morning the banning has come into news and at the same time the news of a three years old girl child's molestation has come in the news at Bangalore. So what shield Government want to give?
They have banned the cow/buffalo slaughtering in Maharastra and Haryana. Thus taking away the small business of poor people as well food for some people. Now, they put ban on this, tomorrow on that. This 'Talibanism' will definitely effect the popularity of Government. How long this moral policing will continue? This is totally irrational, irresponsible and ridiculous. Are they putting some cover over Sun temple of Konarak or on sculptures on Ajanta, Elora and Khajuraho?

POST BANK : FINANCIAL INCLUSION

India Post has seriously decided to enter into total payment Banking business as per the requirements under RBI guideline. The Banking business under conventional Postal system where savings Bank accounts are opened for customers will stay back along with some other 7/8 products they offer to public. These will not migrate and will be available in approximately 25000 India Post branches throughout the country.
The new entity will come out shortly which will mainly cater the needs of  large chunk of un-banked population under the banner of 'Financial Inclusion' the dream project the Prime Minister of India. But truly speaking, this so called dream project of Prime Minister is not new. Many of you may be aware or not, this Financial Inclusion was first discussed in 31.07.2005 in a meeting headed by the than deputy governor of RBI under Financial Sector Structure Plan jointly with State Bank of India and the State Bank of India was given the responsibility to start with the Plan of Financial Inclusion. Accordingly, State Bank of India came with an agreement with "A little world" for technical support and with 'Zero Mass Foundation', NGO as its first Pan India Business Correspondent.State Bank of India made an initial State wise survey for  population who are excluded of all Banking facilities and they shortlisted three States to start with the project. Those are undivided erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Mizoram of which Mizoram was found lowest average in percentage among this three States where least population are covered under any type of  Banking facilities.
So, the State Bank of India jointly with A Little World and Zero Mass Foundation opened the Financial Inclusion project first in India at a place called 'Seling' about 21 km from Aizawl, the capital city of Mizoram on 7th November 2006. The author of this blog is proud to be part with this project on the day of opening and after. Thus it is the State Bank of India, and not the Prime Minister of India has first started the Financial Inclusion in the country.
Off course, we must agree that due to appeal from the Prime Minister the project has been boosted up and received more mileage. Now, if India Post enters in the arena fully equipped with technology and with its strong 25000+ branch base in the country, the dream  what State Bank of India authorities saw long back, may achieve full circle.

YAKUB MEMON AND SOME OTHER IMPORTANT FACTS

Yakub Memon went into gallows this morning as per scheduled time set by judiciaries. According to many, the full circle of Bombay Blast has been completed. Where I fail to understand many things. How the circle is full ?  What about Dawood Ibrahim the mastermind behind the blast? So, how the circle is complete I do not know.Where is Tiger Memon ? Could the Government bring him under the judiciary system ? Tiger, Tiger burning bright..........

Secondly,I would like to ask few questions to those "blood thirsty"people who were shouting slogans till yesterday " inko kutte ka maut dena chhiye" :

Definitely kutte ka maut dena hi hay. But what about Sajjan Kumar ? I would like to quote from  the Misra commission report
Quote
In Sultanpuri Brahmanand Gupta, the president of the A-4 block Congress Party distributed
oil while Congress Party MP Sajjan Kumar ‘instructed the crowd to kill
Sikhs and to loot and burn their properties’         Unquote

Again in other occasion

Quote
In Sultanpuri, Moti Singh, a Sikh who had served in the Congress party for twenty years heard Sajjan Kumar give the following speech: ‘Whoever kills the sons of the snakes, I will reward them. Whoever kills Roshan Singh and Bagh Singh will get 5,000 rupees each and 1,000 rupees each for killing any other Sikhs. You can collect these prizes on 3 November from my personal assistant Jai Chand Jamadar.’
                                          unquote

Again my dear friends what happened Maya Kodani ? She has personally distributed hazardous  inflammable like petrol and kerosene in the hand of each Hindu boys of her constituency to kill each Muslim members of the locality and to burn their houses, property. She being as a minister of Gujrat State during 2002 was personally liable for killing hundreds of Muslims in Gujrat. This a open fact to all.

So, if all of you do have respect on judiciaries and law of the country you should start cry and slogans form now    inko kutte ka maut dena chhiye"  Or  all  of  you are perplexed ?

OLD FAVORITE : OLD MONK

Those who are old timers like me are definitely grown up into manhood by tasting only one drink i.e OLD MONK. This is a rum was most popular among young generation through out the country, because scotch whiskey was a distant dream for many of us during those days. First, those were available only is five star hotels or from customs. So,majorities of us neither had enough money nor any connection with customs people. Among the whiskeys Black night, Old Tavern, Diplomat or Aristocrat were the choice youngisthan of those days.Whiskey was not strong enough and gin was only for going to toilet for peeing.White rum like Bacardi was not available that time and Beer was not so friendly after dusk.Wine was not at all popular during those days. So, Old Monk was only refuge for our generation.
Now there is some news in the market that company is probably winding up the production of our one time favorite Old Monk. This news is sad to many like me. Somewhere I feel a wound in the heart. We all started with Old Monk and Charminar brand Cigarette. Both were made for each other in 70's and 80's.I do not know if the news is true. But along with many other in the country of my age I feel a deep vacuum in my heat. Let us pray for the old which is definitely gold to us although it does not glitter now that much. " Long Live Old Monk!"

HINDU RASHTRA : AN UTOPIAN CONCEPT

YEAR 2020 A D

Mahamathi Ashok became the head of a country(Rashtra) called Bharat. Entire rashtra from its  length to breadth is now chanting the hymns Veda. Order has been issued and circulated by the center that every household of the rashtra has to start the day compulsorily with hymns of sacred  hymns of Rigveda. Those who will defy the proclamation will be given capital punishment viz. the holy trident will inserted into his/her anal until death.Every office(karyalaya) should have mandatory photograph of Sri Rama and his disciple Hanuman on the wall. Karyalaya canteen will serve only milk and different types of fruits during lunch time to its staffs.
Every citizen (Nagarik) of Rashtra has to attend a compulsory chanting of bhajan at temple nearby their house before going to retire from work for the day.All place of religious activities of other faiths have already been demolished down and temples are erected on the place. K kudarshan and Shyama prasad Chatterjee have been declared as fathers of nation(rashtrapita)  and photographs of both are seen parallel with Rama and Hanuman at Government Offices(karyalaya) and High Courts (Pradhan Nayalaya) and Supreme Court of the country(rashtra)
Bollywood has been strictly advised to follow the strictures of RSS while selecting any director or chair person for any film or any institution of its kind. All old controversial movie like PK etc are taken out from archive and rolls are destroyed. No movie will be allowed to see the light where any Hindu ritual or character is undermined. Stalwarts like Girish Karnad, Shyam Benegal and many others are treated properly and shown their way for their earlier acts.
Slaughtering of animals and having non vegetarian food has been strictly banned throughout the country successfully.
Schools are advised to teach in Hindi medium preferable and all other medium will be withdrawn phase wise within a span of five years.
Yoga with 'Om' is compulsory for all and everyone is ordered to practice this religiously. Small states like Mizoram , Nagaland etc tried to raise a mild protest initially but later on their protest has been succumbed into oblivion under the roar of Hindutva.
Now Mahamathi is planning to shift the capital of the rashtra from New Delhi to Varanasi and to change the tricolour of the national flag into one single colour viz. saffron.

YEAR 2030 AD

Mahamathi passed away in the year 2027 AD and his follower are still trying to fulfill his cherished dream. They are trying hard to unfurl the flag on the top of Islamabad and Dhaka. It may take some more time. Till then they are practicing hard with magnanimous roar of "JAI SRIRAM."

THREE WISE MEN AND INDIAN CRICKET TEAM

BCCI has selected three wise men as adviser for Indian cricket team. All powerful technical director is already there , where Mr. Rabi Shastri is functioning with responsibility since few seasons back. The coach of the team is a functional post where country has seen many foreign experts since the days of John Right. Right was very much successful as coach of Indian team during the regime of Sourav Ganguly as chieftain of the team. Both of them had exceptional understanding and success followed them. The infamous short period of Mr Grieg Chapel the country want to forget. Everone is aware of the differences between him and Mr Ganguly. Everyone is aware that Mr Tendulkar has mentioned in his recently published book that just before World Cup 2007 Grieg Chapel came to him and tried to influence him by offering the captaincy and to abandon Mr Dravid from the captaincy.Where Mr. Tendulkar could not suppress his astonishment that just before world cup a coach wanted to bundle up the existing captain with a treason to make another person as captain who had decided not to do captaincy long back.
Now, in present scenario, the country smell something like that. Initially, almost it was certain that the high profile team directors post or the post of team coach is going to Mr Ganguly who is definitely an excellent choice for the post. We should not forget that.one of retired internal fast bowler of Australia also commented in print media favouring Mr Ganguly's appointment. It is also a well known fact that Mr. Ganguly had offered his condition to do the long term job at least up to 2019. The only thing he has to sacrifice the post of CAB ( Cricket Association of Bengal). Since Mr Rabi Shastri was favoured by Srnivason's group it was obvious that Mr Dalmia will not allow him to continue long. Again Mr Ganguly is near to Dalmia camp, so it is the time factor only to change the game.
But, suddenly the table turned differently. Mr Shastri not only remained as a technical director of the team, he himself has opened his mouth in front of press that seperate coach is not required for the team as he can continue both technical directors job as well as the duties of coach.Meanwhile board has already appointed the trio ( Mr Tendulkar, Mr Ganguly and Mr Laxman) as special adviser of the team, no one knows perfectly what job the trio will do? A balanced team has gone for a one test series and three one day internal series to play against minnows Bangladesh; what sort of advise these three wise cricketer of yesteryear will give the team? What is the intention of BCCI in this regard is not clear to anyone. Even when contacted by media, these three also said that they do not know exactly what type of job they will do. Why this game has been played by BCCI and at whose interest? How Mr Shastri can give a statement to press that appointment of coach is not required? Who has given him authority to talk  of his own or on behalf of BCCI ?

INTEREST RATE CUT AND AFTER

RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan has at last gone for an interest rate cut to boost the economy with a monetary policy despite of amid differences with Government of India. This difference has been noticed for quite long time. Central Government believed that RBI is always against the structural changes and that had initiated to form a Financial Sector Development Council long back during the regime of Pranab Mukherjee as finance minister. The differences became gradually wider and it came with an outburst with the comment of RBI Governor after declaring the recent monetary policy. Rajan said " The RBI is not a cheer leader. Our job is to give people confidence in the value of the Rupee, in the prospect of inflation, and having established that confidence, create a long term framework for good decision to be made".
Off course Central Government has not given much importance to his comment. But, RBI had to bow down ultimately to the request from different sectors and segment of the country to lower the interest rate. So, the recent lowering of Repo rate of 25 bsp from 7.50 to 7.25 has been the cause of stable and low inflation since beginning of the fiscal year. The Wholesale Price Index is even lower at 2.65 percent since long time. The cost of food product is stable and is slower from April of the year. The monsoon has been projected good and harvest of food products is emphasized to be better in coming season which would make a direct impact on the inflation and RBI has stated that there is expectation for further cuts in interest rates due to expectation of good monsoon. Although GOI is expecting that inflation may rise little at January 2016 up to 6.00 percent.
Now, the Repo rate is the rate at which public sector Banks borrow fund from RBI by giving adequate collateral security in the form of Government bonds and when they return back the fund they take back the bonds. Now , once Repo rate is lowered all public sector Banks are obviously to to lower their interest rates. Interest rates are generally regulated with base rate of every Bank so lowering of base rate will automatically ease the interest rate for borrowers to repay their loans. Banks at the pinnacle of the country like SBI, AXIS Bank etc have already declared to lower there base rates with immediate effect. So, the Home loan. Car loan etc will be cheaper for the buyers of the country.
The US monetary Policy has also become stable and inflow of FDI ( Foreign Direct Investment) is definitely going to increase and country's balance of trade will squared up and deficit will be reduced .Rupee may be upgraded against USD in conversion as well as buying and selling. Cost of  retail products like food and essentials will go down. So there will be a win win situation for the economy is predicted.

TAGORE AND HIS BELIEF

I am speaking of that time, when Tagore had not became Rabindranath. Generally people near him used to call him 'Rabibabu' off course Gandhi called him 'Gurudev'. Western countries called him 'Tagore', Rabibabu used to believe that he was only the great poet 'Kalidas' in his previous incarnation. His passion for Kalidas has been noticed in many of his creations To name one or two:

" Ami Jodi Joumo nitem
 kalidaser kalle
Hotem jodi ekti ratna
nabaratner vale...."

There is another more prominent :

" Doore, Bohu doore Ujjainipure

 Shipranaditire

Khujite gechinu mor

pratham janmer priyare......"

Again in last part of the same poem it is more significant :

"......Dhire dhire neme elo mor Malabika......."

As we all know Kalidas's wifes name was Malabika,Rabibabu used the name in the above named poem as per his own belief.

SAKSHI : PART 2

Little Sakshi has grown up now. She is in her teens. Many books she read specially on her own Hindu religion. Now a days she constantly disturbs her mother by questioning. She is practiced in putting questions after question so rapidly that their neighbour Arpan Goswami will feel shy to. Arpan is famous for asking rapid fire questions anywhere, may be in quiz contest or in newsroom where he works.
However, we are talking about Sakshi. Other day she read Mahabharata. Although she saw this epic serial recently in Television but she is fond of reading such books which contained aroma of Hindu religion.

She asked her mother in morning next " Mom, Who was Draupadi?"

Mother Ms Tithi Asrani is a principal and CEO of a school in New Delhi. She replied " Why I told you other day that she was wife of Pandava five brothers"

" Mom why one wife for five persons?"  Sakshi looked confused.
" They were Gods. They can do like this you know." Mother tried to manage.
" Why Krishna is called her friend ?" Another shot from little girl
" Because Krishna saved her in distress." Tithi  replied.
" Like my dad who is busy in Nepal to save those people who are in distress Mom?' Sakshi knew that her father's job is like this only. He goes to numerous countries throughout the year and stays home very often.
"Mom,other day uncle from other block was discussing of giving NRI status to dad." Sakshi was disturbing her mother too much.
Presently Sakshi's father is busy in Nepal after the earthquake.Little girl knew all details.
" Mom, why not dad helps those didi's and save them like Krishna did to Draupadi?"
" What do you mean? Which didi?
" All those didis who are being raped or molested in recent past."
" I don't know. Ask your dad when he will come back in country." Tithiji went away without giving Sakshi a chance for further questioning.

RAMDEV BABA : DOCTOR OR SCIENTIST

"Putrajeevak Veej" has brought a fresh storm of discussion in our country. It was claimed in the upper house by a member of JD(U) that Baba Ramdev has come out as a new avatar in the history of medical science. He has invented a medicine named Putrajeevak Veej which will guarantee birth of only male child. The honourable member has shown publicly a packet said to contain that medicine along with a money receipt which proved his claim of purchasing the same from a Ayurveda pharmacy.
Ayurveda medicine will be under the ministry of health and medical affairs or not that was also the question raised by member of ruling party and opposition had commented in their own way.Now the matter of discomfort for ruling party is that

  • Government of Haryana has made this Baba the 'Brand Ambassador ' of the state ruled by BJP Government whose leader is directly heading with slogan for ' Beti Bachao'
  • Sex discrimination during prenatal stage is a offence by law of the country.and
  • The Prime minister of the country is worried for low female sex ratio

Now members of uppper house like Jaya Bachchan or Javed Akhthar has openly condemned the medicine and it inventor and wanted immediate ban on this medicine and withdraw this from all pharmacy those who are selling it. But, question to all that if Ayurveda falls under medicine category
than we can recommend his name to Nobel Prize committee for 2015 Nobel Prize in this category. The largest democracy in Asia will boast for another Nobel Laureate. This time in the field medicine. Baba will definitely change his attire into Tuxedo before going to receive the prize, because he is a part of 'Suit-Boot Ke Sarkar'. At the same time we will proud to call the Baba as our Dr. Baba or shall we call him as Scientist Baba?
Can anybody clarify?

SABEEN MAHMUD : FREEDOM OF SPEECH SILENCED

The Freedom of speech is shattered and silenced once again. Sabeen Mahmud, a NGO and more than that a champion of piece who always tried to bring entire world under one umbrella of piece. She always wanted to challenge discrimination and injustice. Her brave voice always spoke against civic problems. She was an icon of solidarity among all underprivileged people for whom her fight was restless. She wanted and strongly believed to change the entire world through internet.
Her famous  cafe TF2 at Karachi, has seen assembly of all intellects for forum discussion, poetry, telling, taking part in live theater etc since many years. Her TF2 was designed to bring people from different discipline to brainstorm ways to solve different civic problems. She never hesitated to bring in her cafe The second floor controversial author like Ayesha Siddiqa who penned the controversial book like Military financing. This was the cause that fetched ISI authorities in her second floor for interrogation.
Sabeen Mahmud always believed that security would never solve any problem. So, she never kept any security for her cafe. She believed that things what will happen cannot be controlled by fear and in public domain. And she had to pay the price for that. Once again the voice of people, voice conscience has been gagged by some brutes who will be answerable to this world for their misdeeds in days to come.

SAKSHI AND RUBUL: TWO SIDES OF COIN

Little Sakshi was waiting outside their house at New Delhi. She wore her school dress and ready for school. Her mother is the principal of the school she attends Suddenly she saw the fair looking boy of her class, Rubul who stays with his mother  a few, blocks away from their house is crossing fast . The boy whose mother is a Briton and father is Indian and so his complexion is so  fair . She shouted to draw his attention
" Hi Rubul! Where are you going so fast? Will you not go to school today also?"
" No , I am going to temple today." Boy replied but did not stop.
" But teacher told other day  that you were absent in school for long 56 days. What happened to you? You were sick I suppose. Are you OK now?" Sakshi asked anxiously
" No, I am quite well. Actually I went to Singapore for relief and reoccupation after prolonged study. Actually I needed a break. My Mom advised me to go" The boy slowed down near the gate of next building.
" But, your mother's faith, if I am not wrong is different perhaps. Do you  people follow all Hindu cultures.I saw you having beef in annual fest of the school. How can you go to temple without Suddhikaran? My Mom says like this." Little Sakshi was farm in her faith.
" Why ? What will be the problem if I visit temple ?" Rubul is now looking angry.
" If you visit temple after eating forbidden food in Hindu faith , they say God will be angry to start storms , earthquake etc to teach us a lesson."  Sakshi strongly expressed her faith.

" Sakshi! Oh! Sakshi ! are you ready ? Oh my God! What all these saffron attire you wore while going to school? Don't you remember, I told that no saffron in school? " Sakshi didn't notice when her Mom came out. Rubul saw Sakshi's mother and vanished fast from the scene.
" Oh Mom! You only told earlier that I have to wear saffron colour clothes as I look good in this colour. But now you are telling me to abstain saffron in school." Sakshi grumbled
" No my dear, I only gave notification that  that no saffron in school, means no saffron in school. You should not forget how other day your English teacher Debabrata Bose was talking against this and
how I punished him. Now let's move. Since your father has gone abroad for official tour,I have to look after everything in house.Come move fast" Both mother and daughter walked towards bus stop.

NEW DELHI : A NEW PIPLI LIVE

Few years back we saw a  movie called 'Pipli Live' where it was sarcastically shown how a drama was enacted by media and local government functionaries after a poor farmer gave a suicide threat.Every media house took the chance to make the issue an avenue to increase the TRP  of their own channels.
Here, we have seen New Delhi  became a Pipli village during recent past. A political party decided to address all farmers publicly where New Delhi is not falling under rural or agricultural belt. The meeting turned to tragic where a farmer has committed suicide by hanging himself over the tall branch of a tree adjacent to meeting venue. After that, the drama of  new Pipli live opened its face. Each political party present there or not started to stain the clear water by creating a politically motivated gimmick over the issue. Each party started blaming other. Some has blamed the Delhi Police, who could not control the situation. Every one is seen busy to increase their own TRP. The person who has committed suicide was not a victim of circumstance since he was not a poor farmer. He had built his own house and had many acres of land. Moreover he was an expert in making turban over the head who had done it earlier to a dignitary not less than Bill Clinton the than president of USA who was in tour at India. Every member  of public believe now such a colourful man can not commit suicide like this.Every party is trying hard to take an extra mileage through his death.Today only the Chief Minister of Delhi , who continued to address public at least 75 minutes after the horrific death of the poor farmer has asked apology publicly and asked all other parties not to continue this debate and not to go for TRP. That particular word he uttered in media to confirm that the issue  was nothing other than another PIPLI LIVE. Incredible India!!

Calcutta to Kolkata : A journey

It was long time back. Kolkata was not born and all of its citizens were pleased to stay in Calcutta.Every house was built in Greek-Italian, Roman Gothic structure and city could boast proudly for its widest footpaths for pedestrians at Chowringhee area at par with of London and Singapore. Every morning automatic sluice pipe of Municipal Corporation used to wash its large roads as well as wide footpaths.Mohammad Ali could stitch suits at par with those Seville Rowe of London. Adjacent satellite town Howrah was easily called Sheffield of east. It was having at least 500 small/medium scale industries.
We know that scenario changed to some extent after partition of original Bengal.Million of refugee came at Calcutta like flood water. All firm houses and grand villas at suburbs of  the city had been taken forcefully by those refugee in large groups for their shelters. All grand footpaths of the city became makeshift shade of refugees. The colour of the city changed slowly. Road side food stall started in almost every corner by those people to start life anew. A new business started all over in the name of Hindu God numbers of small temple built on the footpath or street corners. A new way of livelihood. No one to control these activities,.Clean Calcutta, once told as City of Palaces had been polluted  with all dirt and filth and the city gradually started losing its glories
This part is only social aspects. Now the State became crippled economically also. Bengal was perennially rich for its Jute industries. The most critical divorce in human history had made Calcutta empty in supply of raw materials as majority of jute had been grown in plains of erstwhile East Bengal, the part of newly formed East Pakistan( now Bangladesh). So supply of jute became lesser and lesser in those industries and production was affected.Once production affected, company could not pay salaries to staff regularly. Net result, the  lock out and closure of industries.By the year 1977 at least 100 of large and more than 500 of small industries were closed.
Meanwhile new ideology of Communism started spreading its wings in divided West Bengal and trade union activities started everywhere. Bandh/Strike culture was common and 'Inqilub Zindabad' word has become a part and parcel working (??) class. Meanwhile the first and best chief minister of divided Bengal Dr. B C Roy tried to put a rein on these attitudes. He fought with New Delhi and brought first IIT at Bengal but, at the cost of a portion of Bengal had to be given to Bihar as per Delhi's request as Bihar is a poor State. Thus West Bengal became loser again.Dr B C Roy started his dream project, a satellite township at Kalyani. But after his demise next chief ministers could not control the state up to the expected level. So, another new revolution started around juncture of late sixties and early seventies in the name of Naxals. Bright young man and women started the revolution with a new ideology, new dream. But probably the time was not ripe for them or they born before time.Their mouth was gagged by iron hand of the than chief minister S S Roy and infamous Runu Guhaneogi who acted like Gestapo leader and after incomparable torture and blood bath they could bury the revolutionaries. But,Congress could nor reign long after this and they lost their bastion to the RED in 1977.
People of Bengal gave their mandate to Red and they indirectly put  the last nail in their coffin. Once CPI(M) taken the rein of West Bengal with their cadre system and 'Operation Barga' all other good people started moving out slowly.Strike and Inqilub Zindabad' became the bread and butter of working class and obviously there was no work culture.Movement of industries and other sector became a routine affair. Film industry has gone long back at Bombay. The aviation industry where the writer of this Blog had personally seen many foreign airways like AIR France, KLM, Royal Jan Airlines, British Airways and many more operated from Calcutta had shifted to Bombay( Mumbai) and Delhi. Rekitt and Coleman Britannia etc  many such big indusries shifted their base by abandoning Calcutta. The princess of yesteryear became a penniless Kolkata.
Still Calcuttans (Kolkatans?) have dream.. The Red has changed into Green. The city is culturally holding the Numero Uno position at least. Some changes have been evidenced in recent past. The beautification of the city has been done by present Government to give the city a modern look. New Calcutta new town and Sector 5 area are really at per with many other modern cities. But, until fresh industries bring oxygen to the state there will always a vacuum will stay in comparison with Mumbai, Bangalore etc. The CEO of vibrant Bengal has to think different.

TIGER OF MAHARASHTRA

Shivsena has started a new agenda against Muslim and Christians. It has advocated that sterilization must be made compulsory for  people of these two religious communities to stabilize the birth rate of children, so that population of these two groups should not suppress number of Hindu people in years to come. They even backed the statement made earlier by Sadhvi Deva Thakur, the all India vice president of Hindu Mahashabha.

Now, question lies here who will determine this agenda and subsequently to make it as a project? Central Government or respective State Governments? Central Government has come in power with some manifesto and action plan for the development of the country as a whole.Recently Moody has up graded the rating for India and there is a declaration for world Bank & IMF that growth of Indian economy will supersede China in 2015-16 So,in this overall growth prospect of the country of country Central Government will never support such issues., So now the responsibility lies on each State Government to start with this agenda. Let us start from the north and first it is Jammu and Kashmir. Here who will sterilize whom? All right, I made a mistake , I forgot J&K is having least number of Hindus. So I go to east. The State which gets the first Sun light. We will get a new ray of hope for Hindus from here. OK, Arunachal Pradesh. But what is this ? Again the Hindus are least numbered here also. Most people of the State are Christians. So, we along with Shivasena members go next State Nagaland. My God! we are driven by 98% Christian people of the State. We go further to other states like Mizoram, Meghalaya etc. But result is same.Assam is having more than 30% Muslim population next to J&K.
After futile venture in Eastern part we came to extreme south i.e Kerala. Nearly half of the people are Christians. West Bengal and Andra Pradesh given same answer in their own way. So, ultimately we decided to start at our home first. It is said that charity begins at home, so let us start in a bigger way at Maharashtra, the Maha project of strelization by Shivasena will start from their own home. But,who will bell the cat? Ruling BJP Government or there partner Shivasena. It must be Shivasena, because we are tigers,. We are tigers at home only. We will do it at our home .

Netizen and netas

The revolution has started. Literary meaning of revolution is to change in overnight or within a short period. TRAI has received 27000 emails within a day as per report of the Times of India.Within two days it crossed more one hundred thousands which includes celebrity Neta like Mr Arvind Kejirwal, the Chief Minister of New Delhi.definitely this move by public was required since long time because we are paying for internet but the service is not equal.I had my first internet connection in 2004-05 from  a now defunct  private provider and connectivity used to reach as per sweet will of the provider. Then I had shifted to Broadband connectivity where service provider was BSNL. That was very good and satisfactory service. But in the year 2013 I took the service of TATA DOCOMO and the representative of the service provider had never explained that once I go out of my city it would become roaming.Interestingly DOCOMO dongle is not equipped with facility of changing the SIM card from other service provider. So, one is bound to swallow the bitter tasted bill of DOCOMO with a hefty charge, that went up to  Rs.10000/- in a month for using outside the city.

Now I am using internet from Airtel a national private service provider with a considerable amount per month. Now the question is that, each service provider is giving link at a speed as per their own whims and fancies. Now Neta like Ravi Shankar Prasad could at least understand the situation and turmoil faced by the ordinary user throughout the country day by day. He has proposed for one high profile committee which will function above TRAI independently and review the recommendations proposed by TRAI from time to time.

The move is definitely a welcome move and good one to control the rate of different service provider  under a common platform and to bring a common rate for beneficial to consumers. But, question lies here that consumers are like 'once beaten twice shy' and sweet will of those Netas would really see the light of the day? Netizens will wait for Netas again.

I have noticed in Times of India issue dated 12.04.2015 where it was shown true anxiety over yellow colour marks on Taj Mahal minarets. Archaeological Survey of India was asked to call experts to remove those patches as fast as possible. The heritage icon of 17th century standing tall near the dirty Jamuna river has already polluted the shrine.White marble has gradually turned into pale yellow since many years , but Government of Uttar Pradesh is perhaps more interested to fight for their dirty politics than to try and save this pride of the country before it is too late.I have certain suggestions towards the Government of Uttar Pradesh which may be useful to some extent to save this famous architecture;

i) Stop all commercial activities like eateries, food joints and other small retail activities within 10 km radius of the structure.

ii) Roads of Agra should be made smoking fee zone strictly.

iii) Roads of Agra in the vicinity of about 10 km radius of the structure should be free from Vehicle /traffic, so that the smoke of those vehicles should not hamper the structure.

iv) Citizen of Agra should be sensitized about the pride of there city by vigorous advertisement from Government/non-Government/NGO level. They should taught not to throw any filth in the river. None should be allowed to take deep or bath in the river Jamuna

v) Industrial unit irrespective of size both small and big should not be permitted to function Agra and its near by places.

vi) Lastly,  Heavy monetary penalty to be taken from those who violates these strictures.

In the democratic set up no one can direct others for their food, attire and other basic things. There is a minimum freedom for every citizen for what they will do, until and unless your action do not harm others publicly. Even everyone have their basic right to decide what to watch and what not. Off course, a person below the age of 18 years is always guided by his/her biological parents and not by the State. So, a child is governed by some basic prevention for food because he/she may not understand what is harmful for his/her health. So also movies, book and theaters a child may be barred due to presence of some contents/scenes that he/she may not understand properly and misunderstanding may create more problem for child's future.

But any adult who is governed by his/her own sense he should not be directed by anyone for the food he would like to eat or the cinema he/she would like to watch as per his/her convenient time slot.If any intervention from any lobby or fora comes in between it should be vehemently opposed or expostulated by the whole society. Here in the present scenario at this country a whole set of people masterminded by some back office political lobby are engineering some social morals vividly as per their own will that must be stopped by the good  people of this country.A group of people have taken an agenda to convert the whole population of the country into their faith by force or some clever immoral programme.I call our fellow country people to resist this evil agenda by tooth and nail and promise for good governance to stay as per the dream of many along with our Prime Minister.

The country where we live is unique. A Christian cannot distribute Bible to his neighbors,( he/she will be labeled differently) but someone can arrange a procession and slogans for JAI SRI RAM or JAI HANUMAN KI.
Whenever a particular party form the Government in center then a group of fanatics start something that is unhealthy for environment. Otherwise how a non political party head says something impossible against Holy Mother Teresa, religious places of assembly of other religion are vandalized, an elderly nun has been brutally raped? Actually very few top machinates and leaders in Central Government are good, impartial and loyal to democracy, rest down the line are taking advantage of the time. If this trend continues it will effect the political future of ruling party and dream of economically strong INDIA spearheaded by their leader. A Muslim can be brutally killed by fanatics in one part of the country on the other hand a juvenile can be booked under cyber law for liking some post in FB. Incredible India !!
Quote " Aggressively defending the demolition of a church in Haryana's Hisar, VHP on Monday asked whether Christians would allow construction of a Hanuman temple in the Vatican City."
"VHP joint general secretary Surendra Jain called the 1857 war of independence a communal war fought for religion and said similar wars would be waged if Christians did not stop conversions." unquote
Times of India
What about Hindu conversion in the name of Ghar Wapasi ? Is Hissar mecca of Hinduism as it was compared with Vatican City? These people are living in fools world.
Incredible India!!!
New TEN COMMANDMENTS (for HINDUTVA as per present day Manu)
i) Thou shalt try to erect a statue of the Hindu killer of "Father of Nation"
ii) Thou shalt try to vitiate the communal harmony by vandalizing religious places of other religious faiths
iii) Thou shalt try to mud sling the deeds of a Nobel laureate like Mother Teresa
iv)Thou shalt try to tell in public domain that other religious places like masques/ Churches are mere building and only Temple of Hindu Gods are genuine place for worship
v)Thou shalt try to change the food habits of people of other other caste and religious faith throughout the country
vi)Thou shalt try to convert people from other faith forcefully into Hindus in many parts of the country
vii) Thou shalt try to tie people of other religious faith in pole and lamp posts and to force them to praise Hindu God.
vii) Thou shalt try to do moral policing at any cost towards young boys and girls who are in love and to give them a lesson for life
ix) Thou shalt keep a strict vigil on young ladies that they should stay in house only and not go to pub/Bar etc; If found, beat them black and blue.
x) Thou shalt rape them irrespective of age if those sinners do not follow your path. Amen!!!!!
THIS IS THE COLOUR OF INCREDIBLE INDIA !!

Saturday, 4 April 2015

I have read the article written by Mr Chetan Bhagat in connection with the colour of skin controversy in recent time. I like to add here that colour of human race does not depend upon his/her own wish. It is rather more depending upon climatic condition of a specific area of the globe. Melanin content which we get from the Sunlight through our dermis is mainly responsible for human complexion More we get melanin more our skin gets dark. So, obviously people living in hotter places and near the Ecuador get their skin more dark in places like Nigeria, Kenya etc. In Caucasian countries in northern hemisphere like Russia and other European countries people get less melanin, because they get less/dim Sunlight and thus their colour is White. Therefore, A person from Italy will be definitely fairer then a person from Nigeria.Indian population is also living near tropic of cancer and mostly they are getting more melanin through their skin and became brown.
The controversial remarks made by a Central minister in this context is undoubtedly proves his deficiency in knowledge, so also narrowness of his mindset. This the colour of our INCREDIBLE INDIA!!!
Meanwhile , I remember a quote made by an eminent author of Bengal in yesteryear Mr. Tarashankar Banerjee that says rightly " If black is so bad then why do you cry upon your hair becoming grey?"
